my computer has been down since thanksgiving. anyway, i bought a side liscense plate kit from an hd dealer the other day and will mount that on sunday or monday. the light broke off of my homemade one. i plan on mounting the new one in the same place as the old one. on the left side of the back wheel.
saw a bitchin' savage chopper in an issue of freeway (british chopper rag) the homemade exhaust pipe and the intake manifold were the coolest. the manifold was home made and had a 90 degree turn in it so the carb stuck out of the right side of the bike. as for and air filter, it just had a velocity stack.
i've been wanting to do that with my manifold also but don't know what metal to use.
i plan on putting the stock tank back on dirty, except that the front of it will be about 1-1 1/2 inches lower. the sporty tank looked cool as hell but i need to be able to hold more fuel. anyway, the sporty tank will go on a 750 honda chop that i'm starting to build.
as for dirty, i might try for a bobbed look. flat digger fender, shotgun pipe, stiffer rear shocks, use a k&n filter like that feller said earlier. take the paint off the cylinder head, and paint the rest of the bike FFB (flat f'ing black).
